Spectrum 4 Highlights and Experience

Over the last 20 years Spectrum 4’s experience in designing and producing exhibits and displays for electric utilities and science and technology museums has fine-tuned our expertise. This experience has proven itself as applicable to a variety of marketplace venues such as the real estate market, corporate training centers, interactive science center museums, mega church environments, tradeshow exhibits, environmental experiences and events in providing that leading edge technology solution.

Spectrum 4’s technology is tried and tested in many demanding environments that you will soon read about below. I trust that these scenarios will aid in establishing the credibility and give you the confidence that will be necessary for your team to incorporate technology into your future marketing projects.

In the 80’s Spectrum 4 designed and built the visitor center displays at the VC Summer nuclear power plant. The display was very successful and reliable through out its time of operation.

Because of our success at the Summer plant. Spectrum 4 was retained by the then president of South Carolina Electric and Gas Company in Columbia S.C., to design the first one of two energy information centers. The 12,000 square foot education center displayed exhibits pertaining both to electric usage and conservation. The highlight of the center was a 1500 square foot cut-away home showing construction techniques and energy efficient concepts. The first center was in Columbia, SC and the second in Charleston, SC.

Exhibit Builder magazine highlighted Spectrum 4 because of a technology edge. In the feature article it talked about “The most reliable visitor center of its kind” for the *Grand Gulf nuclear visitor center in Port Gibson, Mississippi, an Entergy Company. The seventeen interactive exhibits incorporated many new ideas including a central microprocessor that controlled all exhibit programs and communicated each message from one centrally located equipment room. Spectrum 4’s warranties are still the best in the industry. The Grand Gulf visitor center holds the record for the longest period of “no down time”.
Spectrum 4 is on record for 10 years.

As one successful design led to another our technology and innovation proved to be the key when Spectrum 4, was the final firm chosen from over 20 national firms to design and build the 4,000 square foot energy education center for City Public Service, a electricity provider in San Antonio, Texas. We conceptualized and designed each aspect of the project including a complete build out drawing package and we project managed the project from start to finish. Sixteen stand-alone interactive exhibits were chosen from our catalog of interactive power company exhibitry. We also designed and produced the support graphics, along with the 100-seat theater. The total budget for the City Public Service project was over $350,000.

Over the years we’ve become a preferred contractor with Duke Energy in designing and building interactive exhibitry for their three main nuclear power visitor centers in North and South Carolina.

Because of Spectrum 4’s success over the years The Atlanta History Center museum in Georgia contracted with Spectrum 4 to completely retrofit the entire history museum with the latest in state of the art technology. The design called for the replacement of 24 laserdisc and 6 pieces of sound equipment. The Spectrum 4 team consulted with the history center staff and docents and then formulated a plan. Our system included the most current, state of the art mpeg2 video equipment and digital sound hardware. With this new system we were able to create the balance of guaranteed reliability in a 24/7 demanding environment. The retro-fit upgrade was completed in September 2003 and is still going strong today.

Duke Power chose Spectrum 4 to provide some individual displays for DOE supported project code named MOX because of our extensive expertise in the Nuclear field in the designing and building of educational displays and exhibits.

Our most recent design proposal is for the American Nuclear Society display on the Nuclear Industry and how it influences everyday life. This will be a permanent exhibit when built later this year.

With the re-birth of Nuclear Power, Spectrum 4 has been approved by NEI to be a preferred vendor for new exhibits for the smaller generation plants as they come on line in the next 5 years. Our past proven record of reliable exhibitry was one of the main factors in the decision process.

Johnson Ferry Baptist Church in Marietta, Ga. Contracted with Spectrum 4 to produce missions displays, core values, and music ministry signage in providing its members with quality display information.

Spectrum 4 provides Mt. Vernon Baptist church with a 400 square foot welcome center in the round. The venue includes overhead lighting, dimensional letters and a designated place to greet visitors and duplicate current sermons. Several roll-around welcome kiosks where created.

Advantis, a division of the mega St. Joe Paper Company needed a quality presentation at several tradeshows per year. This custom system display provided just what they needed to communicate their services.

Reynolds Plantation needed a small display to travel to golf events and shopping malls to introduce their real estate product on Lake Oconee, Ga. Spectrum 4 created a touch-screen computer kiosk that was not only portable but also had the technological power to communicate. Another important factor was the look and traditional style of the Reynolds mark. Our solution: streamline but traditional.

You can read about an ongoing children’s museum project in the current April 06 issue of Points North magazine. The article refers to the Teaching Museum of North Fulton. 95% of all the displays and exhibits represented in this venue were designed and fabricated by Spectrum 4.
All of the technology interactive exhibitry referred to in the article has been designed and integrated by Spectrum 4 in conjunction with our Exhibitronics division.

Our exhibit partner Spectrum 4 Exhibitronics provide state of the art interactive component retro-fit and upgrade services to existing utility, museum and corporate exhibits and displays. We bring displays up to a new standard of reliability and performance complete with a full warranty. At Spectrum 4 we firmly believe that technology is an integral partner to your marketing efforts and we welcome the opportunity to bid on your next project.

We look forward to serving you.
